Chemical science society

This is one of the design of Chemical Science Society t-shirt (designed by: fem Madella) that will be out this coming February for Chemistry week celebration of Bicol University department of Chemistry legaspi city in Philippines.
 The non-academic organization is in action since 2003. It was built by Mr. Montealegre and Mr. Bobiles, both are professors of department of chemistry and today, they are the advisers of the organization. One of its goal is to share and cultivate chemistry in young people's mind. They have this out-reach program to support this goal. They also conduct a university wide science contests and other programs that would be very useful to students.In 2009. they held this campaign for saving energy. They post some advertisement regarding how to save energy at school in very little way. Some colleges supported this campaign, however some not. They also help the JCI Legaspi chapter to find some funds for the chemistry equipment/apparatus of Albay central School. Typically, the members of this organization are chemistry based courses however they are open to all students from the university. members should pass first the Trials of the organization. These Trials will measure their thinking, emotional and spiritual skills.
So, from this  where did they get their money? They usually have an income generating projects to support their needs. "Kapag walang pera, mahirap gumawa ng isang programa" a quote from one of the adviser. But when all the members do their jobs, all problems along the way is like a piece of cake.
So, if you happen to visit Legaspi City, try to visit Bicol University, specially the college of science and you will find different ideas and different people working on the same path: EXCELLENCE!

Celestamine

I have this annoying food allergies. I am not allowed to eat sea foods, chicken, peanuts and foods that is cooked on oils. My body easily reacted to the food that is not allowed for me. I start to have red spots on  my skin and it is itchy. So I went to my dermatologist and undergone some test. She gave me the Celestamine tablet for my medication. I take 2 tablets a day after a meal. It has steroids so I normally take one after breakfast and one after dinner. After taking the medicine my allergy symptoms are slowly fading. I usually buy 20 tablets that c0st 400php for 10 days only. It is very effective and I am planning to have celestamine as my maintenance for my allergy.

coffe breaks

I don't know why is so addicting for me. It's not sweet or tasty. however, it gives my nerves a better kick than chocolates and soft drinks when I want to be alive at night. Coffee is the best partner for me when I want to relax and have some fun with my computer. I want to be alone more than my hobby in socializing, so when I want to think I just sit on my favorite couch and sip my hot fine coffee with no creamer. For me, having coffee with out  creamer is more exciting than having a spoonful. Because the real taste of coffee is in coffee itself, roasted or not.
Caffeine is one of the major composition of coffee. It is also responsible for making the coffee the best energizer. Plus, it has anti-oxidant to help our body fight from sickness and aging. Time pass and so many kinds of coffee are now out in the market, speacially the roasted one. Modern technology makes the coffee more interesting. Bustelo cool coffee, flavored coffee, instant coffee and espresso are in few. The demand of coffee in the market is high  due to its common ingredient in every human being's morning meal. So there's lot of supplier of coffee: sumatran, jamacian blue mountain coffee, Hawaiian coffee, turkish coffee and a lot more.
Starbucks is the best source of sumatran coffee that is serve in different ways. Espresso that comes in three different flavour  and my favorite is mocha. Brewed coffee, personally, I don't add sugar in this beverage and it tastes very good. They serve coffee the way you like it, whether you want it cold or very very hot.
Lamia Tazza in Legaspi city in Bicol has the fine kind of coffee that they serve in hot or cold with some icing toppings and chocolates. And their presentation is awesome. This coffee bar has its contribution to earth, they didn't serve the coffee in plastics or paper cups. They serve coffee in a fine tall glass with its straw. But I like their coffee sipping without the help of straw. The cookies and pastries are good too.
Mister Dounut, the biggest donut baker in the Philippines has its coffee too. Not that presentable compared to starbucks or lamia, what I want in their coffee is the opportunity to experiment in coffee. I usually bring an evap milk and pour them in their coffee and it tastes really great.
Whatever the presentation or the kind of coffee that may serve to me, what important is, it give me a little luxury in life.
